OB build? What you mean, frozieh, WTF are you on?!

This project is about creating new limited chars which obey some restrictiong rules that are there to make them weaker.



Why would anyone like to create a weak character? What's the idea?!


A few years ago, when lunia was in the Open Beta, levling was harder, our stats were lower, our skill did much less damage, stages were challenging and our characters were well designed and not OP.

When we were staging, we had to plan our moves. We had team work, a lot of thinking and strategy making. It took us time to kill mobs and we had to dodge, since almost everything took a major amoung of HP.

Time flew, the game has been changed, and here is what our stages are like:

-You can solo everything.

-Since monsters are flinchable and can be killed in one skill, you don't have to think before attacking. You just do it and end it.

-Even monsetrs that do a lot of damage can be killed easily, and that's why our fighting strategy is: "Let's kill them as fast as possible, before they kill us; instead of dodging.

-killing fast without the need to dodge bottlenecks us and slow down our proccess in being better players.

-Since we level too fast, we don't even have the chance to learn the game. We simply rush to 70, kill everything...Tadda!!! We are no high leveled, and still are noobs.

-Stages are boring and do not require strategy and teamwork...

-Myth is boring.

-Hopefuly, with skills that don't do tons of damage and limited MP, we will be able to PvP in Free Mode (Instead of Balanced) and enjoy omre balanced battles. (If you watch Old Klunia PvP matches, you will see what I'm talking about. Skills do not do super high damage, and thus those who want to use some skills but are afarid to do them because of their unfair damage would benefit.
Annoying spamming will be morre limited.
With skills that do lower damage, melee strings will become "stronger" in comparison.

-Those characters will dedicated to more challenging staging and fair PvP and will be additional to your pervious characters. It's not that they replcae them and leveling to 60 doesn't take more than 2 hours.



Sounds interesting. What are the restriction rules you have mentioned earlier?


Character wise:

1) Those character name's must be only one of the 3 basic characters:
Sieg, Eir and Dainn.

2) Their name must start with: "OBB" for we can recognize them and find them easily, oredered one by one in our buddy lists.

3) Their build can be planned according to some restrictions I'll post soon.
One example for you: A dainn who learns 'Giant Fist of Earth' can only level it untill level 4 and (in addition) has to sacrifice 3 skill points. If I max 'Giant Fist of Earth' (level 4), I will have to leave 3 of my skill points unused. (As if 'Giant Fist of Earth' was "level 7).

4) Those characters are (Skill wise) limited to level 60 Skill. and cannot RB. If you happen to pass level 60 (Because you want to do a level 66 raid, for example), you are not allowed to use any of your extra skill points (Gained from passing level 60 or RBing) and must stick to the skill build restrictions.

Item Wise:

1) Those characters are not allowed to use ressurrection stones/scrolls, extra life stones/scrolls, dragon flutes, items that gives extra skill points or stats (For example: Skill dyes, Stat dyes, +1 skill points obtained from quests, family boxes, BGS...), CS items that give stats or extra functionality (For example: Pets, Dyes).

2) They cannot use status pots guild pots, cs pots, functional pots (Such as Flawless, Endurance, Crit, Hide, transform) with exception for the pots you can finf on in baphomet run...
The only pots allowerd are: Medium HP pots (+500HP) and Medium MP pots (+500 MP).

Equipment Wise:

1) They cannot wear titles or any equipment with exception for a weapon.
The only weapon you may use is the one you get in the quest of 6-5H Unfortified and Ungraded.

Behaviour Wise (In PvP):

1) Your level 60's skill's cooldown is supposed to be 5 mins. Please try waiting 5 mins in between uses, unless you died, OFC.

2) Since skills are supposedly balanced, it leaves you to play according to manner rules. (Some are against Body Blocking with BCB, for examlpe)...

As you can see, even though I'm level 99 with haxed +90 Skill points who really really want to max every single skill, those are the limits.
I cannot level those skills beyond what you can see in the pictures.

In addition, some skills, for example - 'Fury of Earth' have been buffed since Open Beta. A level 5 'Fury of Earth' today is as strong as a level 9 one back then. To balance it, it's decided that 'Fury of Eaerh's max level will be 5 and in addition: It takes 4 more skill points to learn this skill.

Here is my stage build. As you can see, I have 4 unspent skill points, because I learned 'Fury of Earth'.

Here is a forbidden build.
Why? 'Fury of Earth' is level 5 as it is supposed to be, but I have not left 4 unpsent skill points for that!
In addition, 'Fire Bomb' is level 10 while the highest level allowed is level 9!

This build is ok but...just a second...I forgot to max Ice Barrier! T__T And look, I have an extra skill point! (Actually, I have 5, but 4 are ignored because I learned 'Fury of Earth').
I'm just going to max Ice Barrier...Right? Right?!
Nope! If I were level 60, I didn't have that extra skill point. I'm not allowed to use the extra skill point gained by leveling over 60, and therefore stuck with a level 2 Ice Barrier.




Skill restrictions for dainn:

-'Fire Bommb' can be leveld up to level 9 only.

-'Rain of Fire' can be leveld up to level 1 only.

-'Red Fore Dragnn' can be leveld up to level 1 only.

-'Ocean of Fire' can be leveled up to level 3 only. In addition, it requires 6 unspent skill points.

-'Fury of Earth' can only leveled up to level 5 only. In addition, it requires 4 unspent skill points.

-'Giant fist of Earth' can be leveled up to level 3 only. In addition, it requires 4 unspent skill points.

The level limits of almost every single skill in the tabs: Strike, Sword and Charge has have been changed.
In addition, you may not learn the learn any MP passive skill!

Important:
You can use only 35 skill points! You need to have 40 unpsent skill points!!!

2) Spread the idea.

3) Help me profreading my language and making it well-grammared and easier to understand.

This not really an event.
More of a revolutoin. A rebellion! (:

Why today? Because today I whined about OB as usuall, and Finky finally agreed to do 3-10L with me, naked, and he was allowed to use only his level 1 skills with an exception for Fire Bomb, BCB and once per a room: CBD.

I could use only level 1 skills (Couldn't summon IQ) and IR (Dash canceled it so it will do only 300 damage), Ice bomb (Dash cacnel so it will do 450) and Nuclear. I could use element only once per room. I didn't use the AoE freze though.

We had to use ress stones, but it was fun! (:
Fink said he didn't like it how we had to limit ourselves, and I therefore came with that Idea.
It looks long and complicated with tons of rules, but it's kinda easy to understand.

I hope it will make us better players and allow us to have more fun.
I wish we could be 8 players and do a (Normal) Guild covolt like that. It must be awesome! (:

I need some open-betan's to help me with the caps.
Basicly, If it's like then, the limit is actually the highest level you can reach with them, when you are level 60.

It's easy, because instead of buffing the skills graduall they implemented high bossts after level 65.
But as you can see, dainn's Giant Fist has been buffed, made me come with that level 4 and +4 skill point cost rule.

Oh, I really like this.
I think we should create an OBB guild, just for our OBB chars.
Rebellion would get crowded, if too many people joined this idea and created another char, that joins the guild.

I thought about it.
Since we don't really know how many people are going to join this, and sice this ides is known inside our guild only, creating a new guild (now) will make communicating harder.

If other plyaers around the game are being curious and join it, only then creating a guild will be smart.

If you want to spread the idea, go for it! (:
There is OGPlanet's forums, IJJI, GGFTW...

Many people are complaining about the game being easy, not challenging, repetitive...It can actually work! (:

-And If I'm right about the PvP (supposedly) balance, it will almost be the solutoin we've been looking for...XD
(No new characters).

I might test yuki and compare her Damage, MP consumption and CD to dainn, Figuring skill caps and skill point penalties for her...

ow the new guild sounded great ;/
Coz if everybody starts making their new obb thingies, we should tell the other guildies who we are and that's troublesome!, coz they will get satured and they won't focus on farming stuff to give money TO PEIL!

PD: and frozen, the land fist isn't the only skill which got buffed, many area and other spells got really really buffed aswell like fury of land, and that counts for sieg too, when i began playing with the "old" balance, i found the game too easy already, i mean, the skills use too little mp and do way too much dmg.

I don't like 1 thing about all this, why we can use a weapon, but we can't use any armor?, that seems a bit odd to me, i would say we could use those things we get at raids for example, becouse siegs will have easier to beat others since the lack of def (sieg skills do overall higher dmg than eir's and dainn's, but that's balanced with the ability to skip defense of magic)
