VandraGor's application
Hello everyone,

Here we go Smile

1. Your IGNs, levels, classes, pvp or stage build and main character inside the game
Only one character since I've barely started:

VandraGor, 72 (1 rebirth), Sieg, stage, also a main character.

2. Tell us a little about yourself.
My name's Peter, 21 years old, currently studying in my hometown's university in Poland.

Let's start with some gaming stuff since this is connected with the game after all.

My first experience with Lunia started around a year ago (don't remember exactly) on ijji. As much as I was impressed by this game back then I also quit it pretty fast due to the overall lagging - I'm the type that doesn't accept certain things if he cannot receive a full experience that comes with it, which in this case was the inability of achieving that general enjoyment of playing the game because of the huge delays.

This is when I stumbled upon a different mmo called Cabal Online. I am mentioning this because I used to carry out the duties of a Game Advisor (I think it is called Game Sage in Lunia) there for over a year and a half, so I guess you can fairly call me a helpful person. Usually that is, sometimes people can really get on your nerves or you are simply tired of all this, which I think Finkster is familiar with even despite a small amount of players in our EU version Wink .
And now after those 2 years of my experience with Cabal I'm back in Lunia - you just gotta to love this arcade system and it's overall gameplay.

What more can I say, one of the hobbies that I lately enjoy (but also barely started) is know in general as graphic design, though I'm trying to concentrate on logotypes and typography. Here you can see two small samples (game related):

- Forum template (unfinished due to guild disbanding and forming a new one)

- Guild logo
[Image: altusspera2.png]

As I said, it's purely hobbystic and as many like to say - I do it "for the fun", just because I enjoy it.

Now one bad thing is that I can be very moody sometimes, but as far as I was "assured", those mood swings are fairly "bearable" Tongue.

And of course, since Lunia has a specific design style, I also like manga and anime in general (not surprised, eh?), having dates with books is also one of the things I enjoy.

I guess this is fairly enough information for starters, not too much, not to little, hope you will think the same way.

3. How often do you play Lunia?
Right now during the holidays quite a lot, I'd say an easy 3-5 hours a day. Still got 1,5 months left and since the first and foremost reason I joined this game is the game itself, I'de like to take advantage of this time and get to know Lunia better.

4. Why do you want to join Rebellion?
A good question and thankfully I have some answeres prepared. Given my past experiences I think it is best for one's game knowledge and overall progress in a game to join a good, active guild. Advantages are almost limitless - contact with experienced players provides you fast and reliable information, tips, guides and of course a great gaming experience in itself. That's it for the gaming part.

There's also that other side which I don't like to call a second or less important. Yes, it is the social aspect. People make all the difference. I would really like to have a good time here, not only for myself but to be able to share it with others - and as some say, that's one of life's goals itself, isin't it Smile.
In order for it not to be too great, flowers and butterflies I cannot hide that my main reason to join your guild is indeed because of my current guild's inactivity (understood in various ways). Sure, we do some stages, but the higher level stuff like bonuses and myths are rare - like once a day if we're lucky. Despite having 3-6 people online, only few of us talk and I do find that... well, maybe not irritatnig but I think it is required to be in an active guild, especially because this server doesn't seem to be heavily inhabitet and sometimes I really get that feeling that it's half-dead.
I think that no matter how great a game might be, it can get utterly boring if you have nobody to play with - that's what singleplayer games were designed for after all.

Anothe reason is my mate - Door. As you know he is also applying to your guild and I happen to like the guy Big Grin.

And last but not least, the less important reasons. I was wondering why some guilds have green, golden or red names and I was told why - yes, the colour itself attracted me. Let's also not forget that Rebellion is a strong name and I for one happen to pay attention to details - for example a guild named xXxblablaxXx or somethingGER, otherthingPOL and such stuff are a no-go for me (no offense towards germany intended). Funny names like Honeybunch or LaserPiratesPEWPEW are an exception because they are intended to be named that way.

5. You bought something from a player for a third of its market worth, immediately after the trade the player realizes and asks to renegotiate the trade. What do you do?
This is a tough one and I don't have a single answer for it. Forgive me but I will refer to the previous game again. When I set something underpriced for sale, nobody bothered to give it back - we all know how most people are. Given this point of view - why should I care? I would like to note that such an option becomes available when for example you're deep in forums and in-game, know the community and you're at the edge just being pissed off or you are simply having a bad day.

Usually though if I'm for a longer time in game, know the market more or less and item's prices, in most cases (like I mentioned before) I'm a helpful guy so giving the item back for the money I've payed is no biggie either Smile.

6. A fight broke out in the guild, neither side is willing to compromise, you are asked to take a side even though you don't agree with either. What do you say in order to begin defusing the situation.
Another nut-cracing question. And again I'm afraid I can't answer this one just like that - takin one side. Such things depend entirely on the situation and your knowledge of what happened because you must have your own opinion to make a decision after all. But of course guild comes first.
As a Game Advisor I've experienced such situations a couple of times. It's nothing different than how you handle things in your own life. What I can tell you for sure is:

1. I don't make any decisions before hearing out both sides of the conflict.
2. If it happens that both sides' version seems to be valid, naturally I take guild's side eitherway (who do you trust more, people you know and have experience with or people you don't know well or don't even know at all?)
3. And as for that certain situation described in the question, if I am asked to take a side even if I do not agree with the guild's decision, I'm not the one to speak for the whole guild here in the end. Regular members act like regular members - you ask me to take a side, I take the guild's side though after the incident is over I like to talk it over again with the people involved - not to judge them or say that they did wrong, but merely to see their full point of view and try to understand the reasons behind the actions they've taken up better.
4. In rare occasions, if such an incidend involves myself or something I've done and I entirely disagree with the decision I am forced to make or an action I am forced to take, given by a guild master (for example), I may leave the guild for the sole purpose of staying true to myself and my beliefs. Such an extremum happens of course only after I've heared everyone's opinion and still think that I was right in that given situation.

Phew, I hope that's a satisfying answer for you guys.

7. In Rebellion we are active on our forum. How active will you be here?
I don't tend to be the most active talker on guild forums (I definitely talk more on "official" forums compared to guild ones) but you can be sure to see a few posts from me each day.

8. What are your current short/long term goals that you hope to achieve in Lunia?
Since I've barely started, there are not many of them (yet).

I am a knowledge seeker so I'd definitely want to understand the game mechanics and try to figure out the droprates for items and places that they appear in.
I haven't really paid attention to crafting yet at all, so I wouldn't mind being given a small tour on how things work here.
My most-current goal is to obtain a few Rodesia IV items and to reach level 84 at least (I kind of screwed up my build - If I want to have all the skills I want maxed out, I'm afraid I will have to reach lvl 91 lol).
I would also like to get Asuka, just because she's currently the only character obtainable by the CS (and I'd rather not spent anymore money on a game after 2 years spent in Cabal - it's just a game after all).

One final word - as you can see it turned out to be a very long application - this is what happens when I approach to do certain things that I really like or am devoted to Big Grin.

So thank you guys for taking the time to read this wall of text, I appreciate it.
PS. I won't be surprised if someone writes "tl;dr" Angel
PS2. increase the amount of emoticons per post, I've put 20 just to receive a message that only 10 are allowed (hehe).

Yours sincerely,
VandraGor

Rebellion!

KK, on topic:

I have to be honest and admit that the title - "VandraGor's Application" kinda scard me.
I remembered you and guesses your application was going to be denied, moreover I thought I myself would have to give your a -1 for your application, which would make me feel bad.

But hey, I was wrong! It's a +1 from me.
Why? because I can't give you a +2. ):

KK, seriously now;
I don't know why reading books and playing Tia are supposed to be reasons to let you / or not let you into the guild (Well, reading books can tell about your personality though); but what I do know is that you seem to be a sophosticated person (And I saw similarities between your answer to question 6 and the way I would solve such matters).

I liked your application, I seem to like your personality, I like it how you are a curious and a knowloedhe seeker, I liked the way you've written your application and I would like you to be in our guild.

that's a +1 from me, once again, beause I can't give you a +2. ):

---

Yours is the perfect example for how a good application should be.

Most detailed guild application I have ever seen. Makes me feel bad to post such a short answer, haha. I would like to meet you ingame again, before I make my decision.

RE: VandraGor's application
Gosh, those are some pretty answers right here and I must say actually for the first time, some are quite detailed also :O.

But I really don't understand what's up with the Tia character? I understand Scarlet's answer about choosing Tia in the future, but Frozen - how the hell did you come up with me playing Tia when you saw I'm playing a Sieg Tongue (lol)?

It's somewhat awkward, you think I play Tia but I play a Sieg, what the fudge... xD

PS. Sorry for the Redbulls Ziggy Big Grin.
